As the President of Renaissance Financial, Steve is not only a distinguished top advisor but also an inspiring leader, deeply passionate about his clients and the firm. While based in our Omaha office, Steve travels across the country to serve clients and our firm growth. With years of leadership at Prudential Financial, Inc. and a decade as the former chairman of the National Advisory Board and former chairman of the Talent Acquisition Advisory Board for Securian Financial Services, Inc., Steve brings valuable expertise to his role. He is committed to driving expansion and innovation, leading executives from across the company in strategic initiatives. Steve values his exceptional team, including Stacy Ericson, a Non-registered Administrative Assistant, and Karin Olson, Registered Administrative Assistant*, whose contributions are integral to the firm's success. Personally, Steve cherishes his wife Kelly and their sons, Nick and Alex, who are 3rd generation Financial Advisors in their family. In his leisure time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, music, skiing, golf, sports, and honing his guitar skills.
Steve graduated from Mankato State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. Steve holds the FINRA Series 4, 6, 7, 24, 63 and 65 registrations. He earned the Chartered Life Underwriter® and Chartered Financial Consultant® designations from the American College, as well as the Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor℠ designation from the College for Financial Planning.
The passion you see from Steve goes beyond the office. Whether he is giving back to the community or spending time with his family he devotes 100 percent to what he does. He is a lifetime sponsor of Pheasants Forever and Ducks Unlimited. Steve served on the Big Brothers Big Sister Executive Board and the Mid-America Council Board of Trustees for the Boy Scouts of America. He also is a member of the Boys and Girls Club, Great Futures Society in Nebraska and Arizona. Steve also sits on the Creighton School of Business Advisory Council. Steve is a member of Young Presidents’ Organization. He also is a donor and supporter of Make-A-Wish foundation in Nebraska and Arizona. Steve and his wife were honored to be the 2019 host couple of the Heart and Stroke Ball of the American Heart Association.
