After graduating from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science in Finance, Matt worked with the Department of Treasury’s Chicago District. He then moved to Omaha, Nebraska to be closer to his now wife, Amanda, and began working with the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City before coming on board with Renaissance Financial.
Through his work with the agencies, Matt reviewed and evaluated banks and their loans to individuals and businesses. This exposure gave him extensive knowledge of personal finance, tax planning, and the complexities of business ownership. Matt uses this experience and the teamwork approach at Renaissance Financial to empower business owners and their key employees and to creatively strategize for high-net-worth professionals. Matt also specializes in strategizing with families, particularly those with disabilities and special needs children relatives, as well as charitable giving from both the donor’s and organizations' perspectives. Matt is a Shareholder of the firm, became a Renaissance Financial Platinum Advisor* in 2022, and has enrolled with the Platinum Study Group at Renaissance.
Alongside serving his clients, Matt also serves the community through the Professional Advisory Committee of the Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (SARRC), and as a board member for the Care 4 the Caregivers and Soldier’s Best Friend organizations. He is also a member of the Phoenix Symphony Legacy League and the Biltmore Area Partnership of Phoenix. Matt and Amanda are raising their two daughters Cecelia and Frankie, alongside a big fur-baby German Shepherd, Stout, in Phoenix while spending the hot Phoenix summers back in Omaha.
